DANCEY DANCEY WEEK
first it started out with the
Sutasi MTV Shoot
.basically Sutasi's all about bringing asian street talent upfront.
seems like Singapore's the next stop they're up at.
danceking couldn make it the last min and was hollering for ppl to fill him up so i went.
boy oh boy, he told me it'll just be freestyling but the camera would be screening about so that isnt much prominent shots.
man was it different.
there were a few beatboxers and only 6 dancers including me-
Wilson, Sherman, Kenneth, Andrew and Alvin.
was the youngest and had the least exp in streetdance ( close to 3 months?! ),
jeez those guys have been dancing street for at least a year plus.
they were crunking up on popping, locking, bboying, krumping and i was like the only girl with my not-very-polished reggae.
i was blown away by their moves...
absolutely owned and yet definitely inspired on the triple.
the crew was wonderful though- boisterous, humorous , enthusiastic and very very experienced. total eye opener for me. their bboying moves were WHOOAAAAAAA.
basically it was 3 songs,
first one was something with a bit more reg-beat so i could fit in reggae moves.
next two songs swayed more to the bboy-cum-krumping-pop-lock style.
i think i just about missed the last one cos they were totally in their element and it was so funk-like and i was afraid of the weird concoction with reg-moves.
so the camera starts to roll and it's everyone rotating and doing solos.
gahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. my nerves were AHHHHHHHHHH lah !
damn overwhelming can, with limited exposure, my vocabulary of moves are limited.
but it was kickass kinda fun :D
i met really awesome people, and learnt alot more about street dance

Then Last Reggae 1 course lesson
well, we played around with formations after being grouped into 5's
and there was showcase :D
had really enthu group members, and us having the only two guys made us OUTstanding HAHAH. was a great last lesson with certificates with nice calligraphy.
CAN'T WAIT FOR REGGAE TWO!

jadey got birthday pizza from me and bro and ah jun's present is still pending.
gonna be watching a lot of dance performances this month.
